TekCom Resources is seeking skilled
Aerial Linemen for one of our trusted telecommunications clients. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the overhead installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic infrastructure. You’ll work at heights, operate specialized equipment, and help maintain job site safety and quality standards across a variety of environments.
Experience & Skills: - 2+ years of experience in aerial telecommunications construction
- Strong knowledge of aerial cable installation, pole climbing (using gaffs, ladders, and bucket trucks), and job site setup
- Proficient in operating fiber blowing equipment, lashers, aerial lifts, and standard telecom tools
- Experience with coax or fiber is preferred (splicing a plus)
- Ability to perform job site clean-up and restoration with attention to detail
Physical & Work Requirements: - Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet
- Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs., work overhead, and stand for long periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and rugged terrain
- Must be able to travel, work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed
Certifications & Licensing: - Valid Driver’s License (Class A CDL preferred)
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, background check, and MVR check
- Must follow all company safety protocols as well as OSHA and DOT guidelines
Responsibilities - Install and repair overhead fiber optic cable
- Operate and maintain fiber blowing and cable placement equipment
- Perform daily safety and equipment maintenance checks
- Set up job sites including traffic cones and signage
- Uphold company quality standards and ensure clean-up and restoration of work areas
- Complete daily production reporting and documentation
