We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and highly skilled French Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team at Hala Coffee's flagship baking hub. This role is ideal for an expert who is eager to innovate, create new pastry concepts, and perfect our existing pastry offerings with an emphasis on authentic French technique and extraordinary taste.
Core Responsibilities:
Invent and develop creative and innovative French-inspired pastries and desserts, keeping our menu fresh, exciting, and trendsetting.
Continuously refine and perfect our existing pastry offerings, ensuring consistency, superior taste, and exceptional presentation.
Conduct regular tastings and quality checks to maintain impeccable standards and elevate the customer experience.
Collaborate closely with the culinary and marketing teams to introduce seasonal and special pastry creations.
Manage pastry production efficiently, overseeing inventory, ingredient sourcing, and cost management.
Mentor and train junior pastry chefs, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a French Pastry Chef in a professional bakery or café environment.
Formal training from an esteemed culinary institution (Le Cordon Bleu, French Pastry School, or equivalent).
Exceptional expertise in French pastry techniques, including laminated dough (croissants, pain au chocolat), pâte à choux, tarts, macarons, and traditional desserts.
Proven track record of developing innovative pastry items and menus.
Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional palate for flavor profiling, and relentless dedication to quality.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a pastry team in high-volume production environments.
