Job Summary:

FIGS is a health care apparel company focusing on the design and comfort of scrubs for healthcare providers. They are seeking an Assistant Merchant to drive strategy and product excellence by collaborating with various teams and analyzing sales data to optimize product assortment and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Director of Merchandising in managing all aspects of the business in order to drive results

• Assist in analyzing sales data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement

• Make recommendations for in season strategy changes as needed and communicate to cross functional team on a timely basis

• Analyze specific category and product performance for weekly merchandising reports and hindsights to optimize sales for upcoming weeks and seasons

• Work with leadership to develop and execute assortment plans, considering factors such as customer demand, market trends, and profitability

• Research new products, fabrics, colors, and market trends to identify potential opportunities for growth

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of buying plans

• Prepare and organize assets needed for big business milestone meetings

• Present to team and executives in weekly meetings

• Own all style creation and maintenance in both Centric PLM system and in Buy Plans, ensuring accuracy and resolving all discrepancies if required

• Act as a liaison for cross-functional partners like Design, Production, Planning, Color Team, Tech Design, Marketing, CX

• Maintain administrative tasks of updating files

• Aid in creating templates to streamline processes

• Maintain sample archive and future on order racks in Merch Room

• Own creation of all Marketing key looks and styling for each launch

Qualifications:

Required:

• 2-5 years’ experience in a planning or merchandising role (ideally omni-channel)

• Outstanding communication verbal and written skills

• Strong analytical and retail math skills

• Able to manage multiple priorities

• Problem solving skills

• Project management experience to easily manage various projects and campaigns while staying on-track with deliverables and communications.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)

• Demonstrates confidence and takes the initiative

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
