Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to create user-friendly web applications and tools. The role involves collaborating with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to ensure a seamless user experience while meeting accessibility and security requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a development team to develop web applications and tools with user-centric design.
• Work with UI and UX designers and back-end developers to create a seamless user experience using React.
• Ensure accessibility for all users by developing a front end that functions across browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements.
• Participate in mentoring, code reviews, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of experience in software development with front end programming languages and web development stacks, such as Python or React
• Experience with containers, such as Docker
• Experience with user requirement gathering to inform UI designs
• Experience in creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering field and 2+ years of experience in software engineering, or 6+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
Preferred:
• Experience with container orchestration software, such as Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies
• Experience with infrastructure as code languages, such as Terraform
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
