Lead Maintenance Technician – UP TO $35.00 AN HOUR - ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE!

Position Summary:

A Lead Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the building, equipment, and shared areas in the best possible condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines , molds , robots , and auxiliary equipment (e.g., dryers, chillers, temperature controllers).
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems related to molding operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure machinery is operating within health, safety, and production standards .
  • Maintain and service mold cooling lines , hot runner systems , and electrical connections to ensure optimal mold performance.
  • Perform daily 5S duties and promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of HVAC , refrigeration , and ventilation systems as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain facility systems including plumbing , lighting , and compressed air systems .
  • Inspect and test safety systems (fire alarms, emergency stops, etc.) and coordinate repairs or upgrades when necessary.
  • Conduct general facility maintenance (e.g., repairing doors, replacing windows, adjusting locks).
  • Apply pest control measures where necessary in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Support the preparation and monitoring of maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices.
  • Perform additional duties or respond to emergency maintenance requests as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or injection molding environment.
  • Solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in production machinery.
  • Familiarity with mold maintenance and robotic automation systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals , electrical schematics , and mechanical drawings .
  • Proficient with hand and power tools , testing equipment, and standard maintenance practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Industrial Maintenance , HVAC , or Mechatronics is a plus.
  • Willingness to work overtime , including weekends or off-shifts, as production demands.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods while servicing equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. using safe lifting techniques.
  • Capable of bending, kneeling, stooping , and working in tight or elevated spaces .
  • Ability to climb ladders , access platforms, and perform tasks at various heights.
  • Occasionally required to push or pull heavy equipment or materials.
  • You must strictly adhere to safety procedures and consistently wear PPE including gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
