Mechanic C Transdev inSan Diego, CAis seeking an C-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining alternative fuel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a C-level Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. Transdev is proud to offer: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: + $36.25/hr + Addition of $0.25/hr for each primary ASE certification obtained. Addition of $0.15/hr for each secondary ASE certification obtained. Benefits include: + Vacation:up to 14 days per year + Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly part-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays. + Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement Benefits may vary depending on location policy. Key Responsibilities: + Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality. + Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow. + Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance. + Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines. + Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications. + Other duties as required. Qualifications: + 1+years of experience as a Mechanic. + Valid CDL license or willingness to obtain CDL license. + ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided + Mechanic's Tool Set + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Physical Requirements: + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. + The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. + Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
