Description Our client, a leading organization in the property management industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll processing, multi-state compliance knowledge, and a passion for delivering accurate and timely payroll services. Responsibilities: + Process full-cycle payroll for employees across multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance. + Maintain payroll records, including employee time and attendance, PTO, and benefits deductions. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including multi-state payroll processing. + Collaborate with HR to update employee status changes, new hire onboarding, and terminations. + Process garnishments, levies, and other payroll deductions as required. + Prepare payroll-related journal entries and assist with reconciliations. + Review and finalize payroll reports before processing payments. + Assist in year-end tasks, including generating and distributing W-2s and other tax forms. + Work with management to report on payroll data and trends for budgeting and forecasting. + Address employee inquiries regarding paychecks, tax withholdings, and deductions. Requirements + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. + 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in the property management or real estate industry. + Proficiency with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or similar platforms). + Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and tax laws. + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas). + Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with employees and management. + Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus. + Knowledge of property management or real estate payroll structures is highly desirable.
