About the Role
As a Small Business Underwriter, you will play a key role in managing and growing a profitable book of business specializing in commercial trucking. Your ability to assess risk, make informed decisions, and cultivate strong partnerships will directly impact success. With clear underwriting goals, growth initiatives, and premium objectives, you'll contribute to the overall success of the business while enjoying a collaborative and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess risk, determine pricing, and rate endorsements to ensure profitable underwriting decisions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents and insureds.
Take ownership of a book of business, making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize negotiation skills to analyze and manage risk effectively.
Participate in a comprehensive training program that includes mentoring, classroom instruction, and self-study to ensure long-term success.
What We're Looking For
Experience in sales, relationship management, or insurance is beneficial but not required.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
