POSITION SUMMARY:

Focus Interpreting is seeking a skilled Spanish Consecutive Interpreter to join our team in San Mateo, CA. In this role, you will provide accurate and professional interpretation services to facilitate communication for Spanish-speaking individuals in various environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Render accurate consecutive interpretation services during meetings, interviews, medical appointments, and other communications involving Spanish and English speakers.
• Ensure the clarity and integrity of the message interpreted while adhering to professional and ethical standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout all assignments.
• Prepare for assignments by researching relevant terminology and understanding the specific needs of clients.
• Continuously enhance language skills and subject matter knowledge to improve service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluency in both Spanish and English, with outstanding oral and written communication abilities in both languages.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances to facilitate effective communication.
• Excellent listening and analytical skills to ensure precise interpretation.
• Prior experience in consecutive interpretation is preferred.
