Job Title: Photographer/Editor Temp Department: Operations Reports to: Director of Operations Location: Los Angeles, California FLSA: Non-Exempt News Photographer/Editor ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM: TelevisaUnivision is seeking a dedicated and creative temp freelance Photographer to cover events, both live and on tape, for our programs. If you can shoot images that speaks volume, can see beyond the lens and has a passion for storytelling, then we need you. YOUR DAY-DAY: - Shoot and edit daily stories assigned with or without reporter using non-linear editing equipment. - Edit materials to match script prepared by producer or associate producer using on-location facilities or any other location required. - Be able to drive, operate and handle all necessary equipment on a vehicle or other equipment used in live transmissions. - Keep assigned equipment and/or vehicle in good working condition and files all required paperwork, as deadlines require. YOU HAVE: + Bachelor's Degree in Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience may be considered. + Bilingual English/Spanish preferred + Knowledge of photography and editing software such as Premier Pro and Avid + Valid California Driver's license with clean driving record, as driving a news vehicle daily to and from stories is an essential part of the daily routine + Minimum (2) years of experience as photographer/editor + Candidate must be able to make sound decisions while working under extreme deadlines and must have the ability to follow directions and incorporate constructive criticism into work results. + Must have the ability and flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays. + Knowledge of digital social media + Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach and sit for up to eight (8) hours. + Must be willing to work from the office in Los Angeles, California. + Employment/education will be verified. + Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis. + Adding to the pool of Production Freelancers to supplement Production needs and cover for Vacations, Sick Time and Special Projects.
